We’re so glad that you’re here! Our lives have been transformed by God through the ministry of Cru.  We are trusting God to build spiritual movements everywhere so that every student knows someone who truly follows Jesus Christ.

I graduated from Purdue University in 2001 with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Jessi from The University of Toledo with a degree in Secondary Education in 2000.  Our 6 yr old loves wrestling daddy, playing football make-believing he is Tim Tebow and (by God’s grace) knowing about God !  Our 2 yr old daddy’s girl enjoys her stuffed animals, bouncing on the bed and praying for the objects she sees around her!  In many ways, college students we work with become a part of our family and for many the first family they’ve seen intact and loving Christ.

We’ve both served full-time with Cru since 2001.  Our ministry has taken us to a few places like Detroit for a few years, The University of Toledo and now The Great Lakes Regional Office.  We’ve loved developing students to reach their full potential in Christ through walking by faith, communicating their faith and multiplying their faith wherever life takes them.  Nothing excites us more than seeing student’s lives transformed by the hand of God.  Just as our lives were transformed in our college years so we desire to see student’s encounter Christ wherever they are on their spiritual journey..

Alongside a devoted group of leaders (to the right), we invest time into equipping & developing missionaries on the field to take the love of Jesus to students worldwide no matter where they are on their spiritual journey.  Whether meeting to disciple student leaders or coaching student leaders to lead a team of other students, we are confident God is at work in the hearts and minds of students.  Simply put: Make the gospel inescapable(Win), develop Christians in biblical community(Build) and launch them into the world(Send).

We specifically mobilizes laborers to touch every corner of the world:

• Develops ‘New Boots’ for the field :  Scott is the Great Lake’s Regional Cru Specialist in reviewing male applicants eager to join Cru as a missionary.
• Disciples ‘New Boots’ : to serve & minister from an abundant heart connected to the Lord for longevity. Aid in financial stewardship & personal spiritual/emotion growth.
• Sends ‘New Boots’ to the field :  Cru staff depend on the full financial support from churches or concerned individuals in order to report to their ministry assignment.  We train, coach and equip new staff to quickly get to their ministry assignments around the world fully-funded, fully-focused and financially faithful.
