Once [in 2001] Jessi and I stood in their shoes! We were hopeful, eager to graduate, sensing God’s Call, and full of fears and doubts while looking around the room wondering if this was the right decision. The next 3 months will be joyously difficult for these 160+ Cru Intern missionaries (above). They will became quite familiar with personal fears, lies, shortcomings, and doubts yet gently balanced by delightful personal growth, grace, and absolutely shocked at God’s provision despite the odds.
Raising support is likely the largest barrier to more people answering God’s Call.
They’ve never asked for God’s help like this!
Like Jessi and I, they too must find a ministry team of partners to reach 100% of their goal in order to report to their assignments in August. It’s no short-order as they began to digest what it will take to follow Jesus’s calling for the sake of the Gospel. But it is worth it!
Over 48 hours, Scott and his team delivered crucial support-training. As you know personally, preparation for the road ahead is critical; having resources, knowledge, correct ministry tools, and perspective ushers in confidence to take the next step – faith step.
Your partnership investments are being leveraged for the Kingdom of God.
Among the sea of soon-to-be Cru missionaries sat 3 men, Jason, Grant, and Peter (who became a Christian within the past year!!). They are microcosms of my discipleship chains resulting from our partnership multiplying throughout the years! Praise God for it all.
